Job vacancy "Head of Office"

The European Platform of Transport Sciences (EPTS Foundation e.V.) is searching for a "Head of Office" from January 2027 onwards or later. The position contains 10 hrs/week and a salary of 633 EUR/month, according to the German rules for minor employments. The workload is volatile during the year, with peaks during spring and autumn.

Main tasks of the position are the organisation of events and competitions (e.g. European Transport Congress, European Friedrich-List-Award), the maintenance of the EPTS members database, website, mailing accounts/lists and social media presence, the communication to our members (individually, by newsletters and social media posts) and the administration of the EPTS accounting, including communication to their tax adviser. All tasks imply a regular exchange with the EPTS organs (e.g. General Secretariat, Executive Board, General Assembly).

The majority of tasks can be done remotely in home office and flexitime during a week. Meetings require an online presence at a given time during usual working hours. 2-3 times a year travelling abroad to Congresses and Conferences is mandatory (no longer than 3 days each, costs covered by EPTS). We assure a close vocational adjustment from a small and engaged team, leading you into a position with a lot of freedom, self-organisation and personal design options.

Applicants should be interested in a long-time engagement (> 5-10 years) and have some background of EPTS-like organisations, that work non-profit and predominantly on a voluntary basis. They should make themselves familiar with the purposes, structure and goals of EPTS. Though English is the EPTS´ main language, for all juridical and financial communication an additional German-speaking background would be an advantage.
