[ETC]: 24. ETC 2026, 7-8 May 2026, Vienna, Austria

The EPTS- Foundation e.V. and the ÖVG are pleased to invite you to the 24th European Transport Congress 2026, which will be held as part of the 100th Anniversary Conference of the Austrian Association for Traffic and Transport Sciences (ÖVG). This international event will take place on May 7–8, 2026, at TU Wien, Vienna, and will bring together leading voices from science, policy, and practice to address the pressing challenges facing transport infrastructure today and tomorrow.

Invitation to paper submission

The 2026 theme, “Resilient and Reliable Mobility Systems: Insights from Science and Practice,” invites contributions that explore how transport infrastructure can adapt to a changing climate, meet increasing availability demands, and remain robust amid external shocks.

We particularly welcome submissions on, but not limited to, the following topics:

1. Maintenance and Availability of Transport Infrastructures

2. Climate Change and Resilience in Relation to Transport Infrastructures

We invite the submission of extended abstracts (up to 9,000 characters, approx. 4 pages) for peer review by the Scientific Committee. Accepted contributions will be presented in the technical sessions of the conference. Outstanding submissions will be invited to submit a full paper for consideration in special issues at European Transport Studies (ETS) and the Austrian Journal of Traffic Sciences (ÖZV).

Notification of Acceptance (incl. publication recommendations): December 15, 2025
Full Paper Deadline (for special issues): April 30, 2026
